My friend telling me that her father has died 9 days after had told got prostate cancer by his doctor. We can take 3 lessons from this news.
1. Man usually ignore his health problem
2. Maybe he doesn’t care about 5 vital sign (body temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and pain)
3. Prostate cancer have not a symptom in early stages. So, many cases of prostate cancer aren’t detected until the cancer has spread beyond the prostate.
Because of this, Andrew Lloyd Webber, the composer behind such world musical hits as Jesus Christ Superstar, urged men over 50 to undergo regular test for prostate cancer.
There are no noticeable symptoms of prostate cancer while it is still in the early stages. In more advanced stages, symptoms may include :
1. Difficult or frequent utination
2. Blood in the urine
3. Bone pain
Prostate cancer kills if allowed to grow. There are two simple test to detect prostate cancer in early stages
1. PSA Blood Test
The Hybritech PSA test established 4.0 ng/mL as the cutoff for a normal test. This means men with a score above 4.0 should be referred for further testing, such as biopsy. Elevated PSA levels may indicate prostate cancer or a noncancerous condition such as prostatitis or an enlarged prostate. If your PSA level is high, your doctor may recommend biopsy to determine if you have cancer.
2. DRE or Physical Exam
The Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) is a quick and painless physical exam, where the doctor feels for bumps or abnormalities on the surface of prostate.
An enlarged prostate and prostatitis (prostate infection) are common condition and don’t lead to prostate cancer. Almost all men suffer from some prostate enlargement or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as they grow older.
Prostate cancer usually grows slowly. While some types of prostate cancer grow slowly and may need minimal or no treatment, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly. If prostate cancer is detected early you have a better chance of successful treatment. So STOP PROSTATE CANCER by EARLY DETECTION
